Parent Involvement

Committee and Council

We have a Local School Leadership Council, a Bilingual Education Committee, and a Title I Advisory Council.  We will also have parent workshops.  We urge you to participate in these school activities.

We need your help in the classroom to work with the children in their learning activities and to help prepare instructional materials.  Please make arrangements with your child's teacher at any time that you are available to help.  If you have any questions, we invite you to come to the office or call us at (323)733-9107.

Your child will be bringing home important bulletins from school.  Please read these carefully as they contain important information.  If you are asked to complete a tear-off and return it to school, please return it the next day.

Parent Volunteers

The school needs help in various school areas such as the cafeteria, yard, restrooms, parent center and classrooms.   At the beginning of the school year, there will be an informational meeting that will explain the volunteer program. You will need a current tuberculosis test (tb test) and a schedule of times and days you can volunteer. Please come to the office or to the parent center for more information. Our community representative will be available to assist you. Thank you
